ABOUT US

Offering a beginning path to recovery for survivors of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, and prostitution, including those facing addiction or substance-use challenges as a result of their trauma.

MISSION  &  VISION

Safe Places Denver exists to answer the silent cry for help from adult survivors of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, prostitution, and those facing addiction or substance-use as a result of their trauma. We provide a safe and supportive environment where women can find safety, hope, and healing on their journey toward becoming whole. Through a comprehensive system of care—including short-term housing, community support and advocacy, and referral services to long-term treatment and recovery resources—women are empowered to move beyond trauma, rebuild their lives, and achieve lasting freedom and self-sufficiency.

PROGRAM GOALS

The Primary goal of our program is to help women achieve stability and begin to heal.

  • Safe Places for Women is a transitional living program that provides safe and stable housing in a structured environment for adult women who are victims of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation.

  • We offer survivor-centered care in a faith-filled environment, recognizing every woman's dignity, worth, and value. Our goal is to assist women in achieving stability and personal growth. Through supportive services and excellence of care, we give them a chance to heal and rebuild their lives in ways that lead to healthy, independent living.

  • While with us, survivors will be provided recovery-oriented systems of care such as targeted case management services, substance use education and resources, employment or job skill development opportunities, referral to trauma-based therapy using trauma-focused techniques, life skills training, referral to health services, and advocacy.

  • We collaborate with frontline organizations, law enforcement, and national human trafficking hotlines to receive trusted survivor referrals from across the country.
